You Should Be a Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

The Test of Mortality...

"Oh Lord, let me forgive those who sin differently than I do."

~Stephen Covey, author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

I love this Quote! For me it is most bittersweet. Maybe because it strikes too close to home. Why do we feel inclined to point out, even if only to ourselves the flaws in those around us? And why is it so much harder to forgive those who sin differently then we do? We all are in the battle of overcoming our weaknesses to become all we were created to be. Even if all of our weaknesses are different, are we not all in that same boat called mortality. And upon closer look, could the test of mortality though personalized be more equalized then we at first thought?

Perhaps if we looked for the strengths of those about us instead of their weaknesses we could value them for who they really are and what they have to offer. Then when we truly hit the rapids in life, we can enter them with confidence, for though we could never make it through alone, we know that united in our efforts we can paddle with strength, purpose, and skill. Thus together we help each other, our strengths can overcome their weakness and their strengths can overcome ours so that together we can all become what we were created to be.

What would it be like to be the wind?

I am sitting at a desk looking out the window watching the wind play with the trees in my yard, and I find that I am in a fanciful and inquisitive mood. What would it be like to be the wind? You are no longer just air, but air in forceful motion. Is the wind always playful, or does she sometimes feel thoughtful, pensive, angry or sad? Does she fly through the air, or soar? What is it like to maneuver through the skies and cut through or move all within your path? What does the wind do when the air doesn’t feel inclined to be well…windy? Does the Wind have a county home for when she want’s to get away? Does she like the twinkling sounds of chimes, or does the noise grate at her nerves? What happens when the wind becomes tired? What is the language of the wind, and what would she say to you if you could understand? Oh I have so many questions I think I shall just have to ask a local genie for the favor to become the wind for a day or a year to learn for myself. When I find out I promise to tell you all what I find.
