The sound I love the Most

Last night I was asked what my least favorite sound, and my most favorite sound was. I though about it. I am a very visual person, which correlates into being extremely sensitive to sounds, for every sound evokes poignant images (both good and bad). Because of this there are many sounds that I both love, and greatly dislike.

In the end I answered that my most disliked sound is hard rock. The chaos of noise, the screeching, the darkness, the depression, the pain, the anger, and apathy communicated in such music makes me positively sick if ever I am unfortunate enough to hear it.

As for the sound I love the best, It was a cross between a baby's laugh, and a real thunder storm. Like the ones I experienced on my mission in the south during hurricane season. (A Tropical Storm)

To white wash a mountian top

While driving on the freeway today, my dad said, that “If April showers bring May Flowers, then we probably won’t be seeing many May flowers this year.” I guess it hasn’t rained much here this spring. With Summer around the corner, I asked if that meant we would be having drought problems again this year. “That depends, on a lot of things, including how much snow we got in the mountains.

I look towards Mt. Timp. And saw a lot of white. “That’s encouraging” I said. Then a thought occurred…What if someone whitewashed the mountains to make them just appear to be snow capped…? It's a conspiracy!

Let's Go Fly A Kite!

It is beautifully windy outside, and all I can think is that…

“With tuppence for paper and strings,
you can have your own set of wings.
With your feet on the ground,
you're a bird in flight!
With your fist holding tight,
to the string of your kite!

Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height
Let's go fly a kite
And send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!

When you send it flying up there,
all at once your lighter than air!
You can dance on the breeze,
over 'ouses and trees!
With your fist 'olding tight,
to the string your kite!

Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height
Let's go fly a kite
And send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!”

Have you ever tried to imagine what it would feel like to actually fly. I’m not talking about doing so in a machine or strapped to something. I am talking hones to goodness flying. You know like Superman… It is easiest for me to imagine soaring through the airs, when I am out flying a kite. For then even though my feet are solidly on the ground, it feels as if a part of me (the important part) is communing with the clouds above. Ahhh.

Well since I have no kite, I guess my imagination shall have to do for now. It will be a bit more difficult, but not impossible. Mayhap I shall go for a nice walk later, so at least I can feel the wind on my face.

Happiness is...

Have you ever sat and contemplated what happiness is? I have upon occasion. It is a very important subject after all. With all that in mind...I was reading one of my favorite books the other day to my friend and roommate. In this book the main character was sitting at family dinner one evening, and everyone was stating what they believed happiness is. I just loved her reply, "Happiness is being able to sneeze whenever you want."

Ahhh, Another Blog is Born...

As a warning I created this blog to satisfy my more random moods. So if you are looking for some terribly interesting blog, that stimulates your dazzling intellect I am sorry, you should probably look elsewhere. For everyone else welcome.

If you are wondering about the name of this blog all I can say is…I don’t know when it started; but, for the longest time, whenever a friend says, “I have a question.” Before they can ask, I respond, “The answer is 27 and sometimes on Tuesday.”
